Your Linksys WAP probably supports v.1, v.2, and v.3 of the SNMP protocol. 5.5 is the rev of the net-snmp software not the SNMP protocol itself. And the current net-snmp package supports the original SNMPv1, Community-based SNMPv2 (i.e. RFCs 1901-1908), and SNMPv3 (i.e. RFCs 3411-3418). Just out of curiosity what are you hoping to gain by collecting snmp traps from your Linksys WAP? I ask because I personally can't think of any good reason I would want to spend the time and effort to set this up for my WAP except for maybe wanting to tinker w. SNMP.
