Seems a bit drastic, its a bit disturbing, but I am not feeling like going off the deep end. And would that even fix my problem? How are mouse clicks for applications handled differently than mouse clicks for say the taskbar in KDE? What are the layers lying above the usb driver? If I cat /dev/psaux, the clicks are showing up, but the application is just not responding to it.
