Today I successfully compiled Ponyprog2000 for Linux, and used a 2 transistor parallel-port circuit to make I2C signals, and a spare laptop screen cable to program the EDID bits on a QXGA 2048x1536 laptop screen. The screen is installed in my wife's T60 and working fine.
