Perfect, I was going to offer that if someone had a file I could test and see if my combination was any good for it. It's not quite enough. The playback is a little choppy - enough that for short term I might be okay with it, but long term not really - when he's running. The trees were also all very jagged whenever he was running. I'm unclear whether that's my computer or the video file. It was gorgeous when he was standing still. I can see the appeal of HD, even though I've never had it.... :) There is no sound there, right? Otherwise I have something else to figure out in my system setup. My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 6200, and VLC was only using something like 50MB of memory, but the CPU was maxed out. So, at least for me, that was my limitation in viewing it. I'm a little disappointed, because I hoped the video card would do a bit more of the heavy lifting, but maybe it already was and my old computer just can't handle it. _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list PLUG@lists.pdxlinux.org http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
