While I don't have any direct experience with the software, I have a
cousin in MI that uses it on a MS based laptop. I asked her about it
because I saw that it also works on Linux ... her response was all very
positive ... easy to read (can adjust brightness, she said), and easy to
use (she is a fairy competent computer user, but wouldn't qualify as a
techie ... she seeks help on tech stuff). Contact me off line if you
like, with any specific questions you may like me to ask her.

My own feeling was that it might be OK assuming they had the title you
wanted. I was burned by O'Reilly Safari bookshelf a few years back ...
they started removing books from my self (all very legal and at the
request of the author, they said) without any warning at all. And there
was not any way for me to cancel and get any of my advance payments
back. Maybe O'Reilly has improved, and maybe Amazon won't do anything
like that ... your needs and mileage may vary.

My cousin reads mostly mysteries ... she is into one series right now
that combines cookbooks with murder mysteries.

Hope this helps
Regards
Fred James
