And it appears the winner is - an overview of Autotools/Autoconf! By just a hair. :) Someone told me Michael Dexter is in Europe, so I'll coordinate with him when he has time to figure out which month this meeting will be (again, December would be the earliest I could do this, but I know some user groups skip meetings in Dec).
