Not to insult anyone's intelligence but are you sure it's not the power cable? Trying a spare charger could save a lot of time & money just to be sure. I've fixed several laptops with intermittent charging issues and only one had a bad jack. The cables haven't looked like there was anything amiss before cutting the end off and soldering on a new connector. You could verify the charger output with a voltmeter while wiggling the cable near the connector. Best done with three or four hands. Good luck.
