I've had some luck with just opening the source and following the inputs
as far as I can. Sometimes I get lucky and there's a fairly clean job of
coding, or occasionally I get very lucky and there's a comment in there
that points out and explains just what I was looking for. But it sounds
like you've got a real nasty, irritating problem there. Good luck!
