Rich, I found my travel router/switch/bridge. It is a Zyxel MWR222. It also can talk USB to computer if needed, but I have never used it that way. I generally use it either Ethernet or wireless to computer.
Regarding the usage, I have found my byte count prior to hitting the air interface is always higher than what AT&T says I am using so I am assuming there is a lot of compression going on at the interface. I used to only have 300m/mo with them, but when I hit the road big time I went to 1gb, the most I have used is 700mb and normally it sets down around 500mb/mo. I guess that VZN has a similar interface. If they were not compressing mine, I would need a whole lot more than the 1Gb I am paying for.
