"I was hoping to extend my knowledge on Linux, Ubuntu, Open source, and
wanted to find some books somewhere between "Linux for dummies" &
Coding. I know about the BIOS,CMOS, CPU, etc. but I wanted deeper
knowledge on Linux. Yes, I still read paper books;"

One of the best Linux self-education books I've ever read is 'Unix and
Linux System Administration Handbook'

http://www.admin.com/

It's not just informative but also well written and dare I say, generally
enjoyable to read.

Librenix.com was a fantastic site that had great tutorials for doing
just about anything with Linux, but it seems to not exist anymore. Now
it's for some MMO game.

https://www.howtoforge.com/ is a comparable site.

HTH.

Cheers,

Mike
