Does anyone know why his happened? My web search has not been helpful.
I'm on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS using the Thunderbird email client 115.3.1 ...
to send text messages (SMS) to my iPhone.
I looked at
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1104017/how-can-i-send-mobile-text-message-from-terminal
and followed directions to get my provider's website address.
This worked the first time I used it... I entered my phone number and got
txt.att.net
as my provider's web site address. Then I sent mail to
<my phone number>@txt.att.net
and yes a text message appears on my iPhone. This still works. I can
still send text messages to my iPhone.
But now when I go on
https://freecarrierlookup.com/
and enter my phone number again, it tells me now that it is an invalid
phone number. Honestly I'm doing the very same thing I did the first
time. I tried other numbers and I always get "Invalid phone number".
https://freecarrierlookup.com/ does not appear to work anymore?
