It is always good to find out about problems, but the ones described didn't
appear to affect me. They would require someone untrusted to start screen
on the box. Further, unless I missed something, they mostly seem to require
setuid root.
Someone on lwn.net mentioned using tio for serial connections. I'm
unfamiliar with it, but apparently it plays nicely with tmux. Might be
worth a look, even though I know you are very unlikely to move away from
screen. After all, I still using kermit with serial ports.
