Simplex is my favorite for chatting with loved ones. You do not need to 
associate a phone number like signal. They both have strong encryption but 
different server architectures and privacy traits.

Have any of you boys tried bitchat? It's a new bluetooth P2P chat phone app. It 
seems fun for in person events.
