This tab was made before they started mandating signed bootloaders on Android so it was easy to build modded roms for. Lineage 17.1 is based on Android 10 so it's now a little old. Nowadays the custom Android rom scene buys specific phone models (such as Google Pixels) that explicitly permit the users to unlock bootloaders. Back in the early days of rom modding, much effort was put into writing cracks that could exploit security holes to escalate privileges and use that to install modded bootroms which would allow you to load modded Android roms.
