hi. i had the same problem before when i was allowed to upgrade my workstation.
everyone in the office had celeron 433s, and i wanted to be different so i went
with a k6-2 500. well, one of my officemates had a benchmarking project and she
tried zdnet's winbench on the office's computers. sadly, their computers beat mine
on most benchmarks, even though i had 32MB more memory. anyway, value-wise though,
it's good for an office pc. but not much for gaming compared to a celeron. u can't
even overclock it much.
