I'm trying to muck my way around JBuilder4. I set up a Database object via
ODBC (using the Oracle type4 JDBC driver). This *usually* works, but I
sometimes get failures "two exceptions caught" and some errors in javax
and swing (not JDBC related). The same problem crops up on both Win32 and
Linux, so I don't think it's bugs in the Linux JRE.
Basically, I am unable to use the dbSwing data-bound controls at all
because everytime I set up a Dataset and try to specify a query, I get the
"two exceptions.." error. I know little about JBuilder and Java in general
(that's why I'm learning this IDE.. because I need some rapid front-end
dev tools and I'm sick of the javac command line).
A happy (and hopefully profitable, err.. prosperous) new year to all.
