Hi pluggers,

i notice when i issue command ipchains -L -n, my ipchains rule shows
source 192.168.123.0/24 and destination 192.168.123.0/24 for a rule like this
ipchains -A input -p tcp -j ACCEPT -s 192.168.123.123/255.255.255.0 -d
192.168.123.456/255.255.255.0.

the rule list allow all ip's in the segment of 192.168.123.x but that is not
what i want, i want to be very specific in IP, what i want to do is to be able to
block specific ip's for certain services. i'm not sure if putting a subnet mask of
255.255.255.255 would work. any suggestion/idea?

        thanks

jack
