You might want to use some Network Troubleshooting tools to to detect the problematic node(s).
I am using the "Fluke Network Inspector", I think there is a evaluation copy on the Fluke sight.
Sorry for mentioning a specific brand and product, because this is what I am using in my class and experienced with.
If there is an equivalent open source software, please do inform me.
