I don't follow Linux groups anymore, so maybe someone can shed light...
the gcc 2.96 with RH7 (and others?) hangs when compiling pretty complex C++
source. (not mine!) I think this is related to the controversy of putting
this compiler in, no? The stuff I'm compiling makes it with the egcs
shipped for compatibility (kernel builds, I think)
