no need to register,
just add info about the new host into your named config files.
this is on the dns box which serves your domain.

from there you can also indicate that it will accept emails for your domain (if
this is what you intend to do), by adding an mx record.

you can then configure the mta of the new box to act as a backup mx for your
domain(s).
