Steve Ballmer of Microsoft describes the Linux license (GPL)
as "a cancer that attaches itself in an intellectual property
sense to everything it touches". In a way, this is true,

However, Ballmer just refers to GPL open-source. The "cancer"
effect does not apply to BSD open-source.
