Even so.  If you get into the habit of making insecure practices in an
environment where security doesn't matter, you tend to keep those habits
in more dangerous environments where security is vital.

You say 'ssh host' to connect to a host where the username is the same as
your username where you log in.  To log on as someone else, say 'ssh
user@host' instead, where 'user' is the username you want.  Read the man
pages, ssh(1) if you want to do more fancy stuff (like host-based logins,
trusted hosts, and so forth).
