I had the same problem when installing Oracle on RH 7.1. In order
to install on 7.1 you will need to do the following :

1. Install the RH 6.2 compatibility packages - compat-egcs,
   compat-glibc and compat-libs

2. Set the following environment variable:
   export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5

3. Run the following shell script:
   . /usr/i386-glibc21-linux/bin/i386-glibc21-linux-env.sh

Now run the Oracle installer and all shoud be fine.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Ben Hills.
