I personally switched from using LaTeX to the DocBook XML-XSL toolset. The only problem with it is that it is very hard to be typesetting complicated mathematics at this point with it. MathML support is still not quite ready, and well, after living for almost five years with LaTeX, MathML feels so damn clumsy by comparison. But then again, I don't write math-heavy texts that much here at work, and I love the convenience of having only one source file format to produce both printer-ready text (convert to XSL-FO and then to PDF) and Internet ready versions (convert DocBook to XHTML). http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/ -- Rafael R.
