I'm not really sure re differences with RDRAM vs SDRAM vs DDR RAM.
But if it would all boil down to popularity, most likely the
solution embraced by many would win over the solution endorsed
only by one company. If the worst would come, RDRAM might just
get obsolete lest other chip companies support RDRAM too (like
what happened with IBM's token ring vs the rest of the world's
Ethernet).

(I'm also wondering - I received Jijo's answer for my previous
post - which I overlooked the word "type" after RAM - but I haven't
received my copy of my post yet. Then again I'll wait for another
few hours...)
