DB, httpd and others) they cannot be migrated. MOSIX is good for compile farms (make -j option). it is also good if you intend to write fork-and-forget applications.
Beowulf clustering is just a general purpose cluster that aims to provide developers with a media to run standard clustering libraries on PC clusters. such libraries are PVM, MPI, BSP, ScalaPACK, PETSc and friends. so if you intend to use these libraries in your programs then beowulf is the answer.
