[cross-posted, sorry for duplicates]

hi all,

we need volunteers for the logistics/finance committee. we'll be collecting
addresses from sacha's neat web-based volunteering interface. if you haven't
registered there, just email me in private. thanks!

1. so far, we have contacts of the people who manufactured tux pins, printed
our (qlinux) tux t-shirts, and made our tux stuffed toys in the past. we'll
be contacting them and get price quotations. people who know of people who
make stickers are also welcome to volunteer.

2. we'll search for gpl'd tux images and bring them up for voting on which
image to print for t-shirts, stickers, and pins. attn webteam: we'll be
needing a web-based poll for this.

3. we'll be coming up with a small logo or stamp with the words
"plug-approved" so that people can distinguish our line of products from
fake ones =) and so people will know if their money is going to a worthy
cause.

4. we'll also be needing people with store fronts, like jijo's TLC branches,
whom we can request to carry our line of plug gear. we'll have to draft
formal arrangements with these stores as some of them may require us to share
profits with them.

hmmm.... maybe a web-based store, webteam?

5. other fund-raising ideas are welcome. just join the logistics/finance
committee. i'll be setting up our own mailing list as soon as i get my boss'
permission.

NOTE: ofcourse, all profits which will be gained from these activities will
go to plug. all our financial transactions will all be "open sourced".
we'll ask the webteam to allot us a space on plug's website where we can post
regular financial reports, info on where to get plug gear, as well as updates
on our activities.

transparently yours,
-eric
