apparently yes. kaya lang RedHat person kasi ako so apt-rpm does have
a more or less fixed format to follow. di ko lang alam paano sa debian.

tried this on a debian machines and it does not seem to work. i keep getting
a 404 error. a debian user collegue of mine sa ACENT (new guy lurker-mode in 
PLUG pa siya) is trying out different way of making this work.

yup. thanks for leading me into some sort of direction. i am just trying
