unfortunately, openantivirus scanner is JAVA based. not scalable to large sites. i have a super-hacked version of Avcheck (by Michael Tokarev) sitting here. We're using it in production dito sa Mozcom. It can talk to sophie/trophie, and I've hacked it to talk to SpamAssassin's spamd too! so spam gets flagged as a virus of type "spam." Yes i know amavis does that too, but amavis does MIME decoding and de-archiving as Perl modules: very CPU-intensive. my version of Avcheck only scans mails <50k in size for spam, and only files 5k < size < 1mb for viruses. :) anyone wants a patch give me a holler. (the code is aesthetically ugly, so i haven't sent it to Michael Tokarev :) --- Orlando Andico <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mosaic Communications, Inc. _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
