Try to check kung yung mail server mo can pass thru the Firewall. Try to talk to yahoo's smtp
telnet mail.yahoo.com 25 Pag nag respond, then okay iyong rules ng FW. Try other known external smtp too. Also, may logs ang sendmail. Maybe you can get more detailed error messages from there.
