Courier is not categorized as an MTA before but now its porting its development into a full IMAP/POP/ESMTP/Webmail/etc package. I'll give my both to Postfix too with the new 2.0.0.1 version. {=)
AFAIK courier is not a MTA, postfix is easy to configure
