It was not so intended.  Apologies if I inadvertantly gave offence.

I addressed the immediate need implied by the question as posed.  It
struck me as the simplest and most responsive answer for the problem
described and the system setup I (correctly) guessed was the cause of
the poster's difficult.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that, as I think the longer-term likelihood of
it _causing_ problems is high, and also obvious when you think about it.
Fortunately, I wasn't seeking to take a vote on the matter.  Nor was I
seeking to make other people happy.  All I was/am seeking to do is give 
the best advice I can.
