yes; we use LDAP (OpenLDAP 2.1) on our servers here in the office. the only downside is that adding users is no longer as simple as "useradd". anyway, the upside is that it's simpler because all our sysads have to do is to edit an LDIF (text file) containing the user details and import it into the LDAP database and it's done :) we used the PADL migration tools for this purpose. -dre _ Philippine Linux Users Group.
