Hi Holden,

> How are you using it?

We simply attach four telephone lines to the slots on the card just like a
regular modem. The nice thing is, each line can have a different
application. With caller id, you can actually invoke different logic based
on the incoming phone number. There are other advanced features such as
call-forwarding, callback, faxback etc...

>What software are you using?

We use the Dialogics API to interact with the card for tone detection and
playing back the appropriate voice messages. We use it on both Windows and
Linux. In Linux, you have to recompile the Kernel to support Lis (Linux
Streams) which the API needs in order to properly detect the IVR card. No
other software is needed aside from the Dialogics API. The most important
thing is that no source code changes are necessary when moving an
application from one platform to another.

>As a 4-line PBX? To provide a POTS gateway to your VOIP-enabled network?

Dialogics comes with various cards (PBX, VOIP etc...). Try contacting Des
from Planet Internet to get more information on the type of card you need.
The API is the same no matter what type of card you use.
