not a good idea at all! use beta kernels on test setups or on personal
machines where security is not a real issue. using untested code on a
production server on which security is important is really just asking
for trouble to happen. much as i like to be on the bleeding edge at
home, i'm much more conservative about using beta software on the
servers at work. unless there is a crucial feature that is necessary,
or a driver that is essential to get a system functioning, it would be
best to steer clear of unproven code for a while.
