Problem #1: In Slackware 9.0 (rxvt-2.6.4), I created the an app-default file for rxvt called /etc/X11/app-default/Rxvt.
Some of the contents are *loginshell: True *font: 8x13 *background: black *color4: rgb:10/20/ff etc.... but it doesn't seem to be working! rxvt completely ignores everything. Can anyone out there help me test to see if this is indeed the case or I may just be overlooking something? Note: I can get things to work by creating an ~/.Xdefaults file and using Rxvt*loginshell: True Rxvt*font: 8x13 etc... but I want it to be the same for all users so that's why I'd like it to work with the resource file inside /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/Rxvt (per the man page). Problem #2: If I don't want to invoke rxvt as a login shell how do I get it to still read in the contents of /etc/profile? Or for that matter, 'su' as well... My aliases disappear unless I use a true login shell. ========================================= Reply To: a n d y @ n e t f x p h . c o m -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
