Pluggers,
(cc: Fil-IT)

Over at the fil-it mailing list there has been discussions regarding a
project they hatched several months ago. It mainly involves the
deployment of several donated PCs in several provincial areas.

They were wondering if anyone from the plug list was willing to volunteer
to do the actual deployment. Here's the challenge. It will be a one man
show, the volunteer must be willing to both scope the requirement and do
the actual implementation.

The hardware is already here but some work has to be done in determining
if they are deployable (some are without keyboard, or other peripherals).

Also, there is no fixed deliverable. The audience is not IT-literate and
the person must be willing to deploy the PCs and teach the people from the
ground up.

In short, the volunteer must be able to wing it, and somehow by the end of
the project the intended audience should somehow be able to appreciate
Linux or computers at the very least.

Thanks.
