hindi ibig sabihin ng newbies list eh puro newbies lang ang nakasubscribe. meron kasing naka-assign na "expert" per mailing list. i think sacha is maintaining that list. and there are volunteers din na nakasubscribe who are willing to answer questions. =) some plug subscribers are also subscribed to the newbies list...
the thing is, we would like to minimize the traffic in the main list. specialized lists were created to direct specific queries: newbies list, plug-org (for org's discussion), plug-misc (sa mga bagong usap-usapan), plug main (for main, sysads discussions), linux joblist for job postings.
