I think that's an excellent idea. Why don't we schedule a hackfest for August 30, 2003? Post a Bayanihan Linux TODO list (you probably already have this somewhere; I'll look around), preferably broken down into little things that people can do, and we'll try to get as many things solved as we can. I know that people can do this on their own, but it's a lot of fun to work with someone else in real life, real-time. =) (Pair programming! Pair translating!) Can you suggest a good way for us to work on it and test the changes? I feel that with Bayanihan Linux, you'd probably benefit more from concentrated work than from us sitting around and thinking about what might be done. <grin> We could break up into pairs and translate or write HOWTOs into Filipino. You'll occasionally hear shouts of "Ano nga uli yung <term>?" (Personally, I don't trust my technical Filipino, but I'm sure we'll find _some_ way of getting this to work.) Serg's Cafe might be a bit crowded, although I do like the chocolate there. Besides, we might not have the computing resources to really get down and start working on Bayanihan, unless lots of people bring laptops, patch cables or wireless cards. Would ASTI like to host a coding party one of these days? Of course, I'm not saying that you open your internal network to random strangers. ;) If you want, you can call for participation and people will send in their info and their proposed contribution. That will allow you to match people up into tentative teams.
