Three hours about dselect? I do Debian installs this way: 1. Install the base system 2. Update my /etc/apt/sources.list 3. apt-get dist-upgrade, if I want 4. apt-get install aptitude 5. aptitude dselect is bloody. Practically all the Debian users I know skip it and use either apt-get or a nice front-end like aptitude instead. I suspect that the best approach is really to say that dselect is not essential and that newbies can skip it if they want... -- Sacha Chua <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - Ateneo CS faculty geekette interests: emacs, gnu/linux, wearables, teaching compsci http://sacha.free.net.ph/ -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
