FALSE ALARM!!!

I just downloaded chkrootkit 0.42b. Apparently there was a bug for 
checking promiscuous mode on 2.4 kernels with version 0.42a.. I just ran 
the new version and the accompanying program (ifpromisc) says that eth0 is 
no longer on promiscuous mode.

Got me nervous there for a while!

If you're like me and you use chkrootkit, better upgrade to the latest 
version release date: Sat Sep 20 2003).
