i'm always pushing my old p133 to the limits. I have built mplayer, octave, gEDA (www.geda.seoul.org) on my old machine. Trying to fit slackware 9.0 with openoffice.org 1.1.0 is such a headache. in order to install openoffice, i have to remove my tetex* packages to fit the diskspace. i tried making a cleanup in order to fit them both without openoffice.org and tetex documentations.
another approach i made is to burn my /opt/openoffice.org* and /usr/share/texmf/* to a cd and link it from the root director. but a problem exists when i execute binaries from the cd. i get "permission denied" error messages. how i remove this and run the binaries from the cd? are there any other work around for this? i know i should be upgrading by now but my new computer but i just can't for personal reasons. -allan espinosa _______________________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
