hello all, I'm having some trouble with icewm on Mandrake 9.2. i've got the icewm, icewm-gnome, and icewm-light RPMs installed.
when i first ran icewm after first install, all the fonts on the taskbar were messed up (it showed some sort of ugly, comic-style font for the taskbar buttons, a similar or uglier font for the menus, etc). if i edited the fonts in icepref, the fontnames would show, but the sample of the fonts would be all asterisks. eventually i chose fonts which displayed in the sample textboxes. so it's now mostly good. except for the command line font. it still shows up in that ugly comic font. looking at ~/.preferences i don't see anything that looks like "DefaultFontName". Nor do i see anything like "CommandLineFontName", so I don't see where to set that. I thought maybe it might be a locale problem (I chose English/Philippines). But I just tested changing that to English/United States and the problem remains. Does anyone know where I set the default font for icewm, or maybe just what the specific preferences setting would be for setting the font used in the double height taskbar command line? thanks for any pointers. tiger -- Gerald Timothy Quimpo gquimpo*hotmail.com tiger*sni*ph http://bopolissimus.sni.ph Public Key: "gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys 672F4C78" In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
