Speaking of Bluetooth on Linux, please check out the KDE Bluetooth 
Framework -- I maintain the Bluetooth remote control server component 
(kbemusedsrv) and contribute to the rest. We're about to enter code 
freeze for the first release.

I also maintain the main Bemused codebase now (the clients for Symbian 
UIQ/Series 60 phones and the, um, Windows server).
