Hey guys, anyone know how to implement N+1 failover clustering in Linux?
I use heartbeat (http://www.linux-ha.org) but it only supports two-node
clusters.
yes, heartbeat (alone) can only support two-node failover cluster. if you want to implement a N+1 failover cluster using linux, heartbeat can only be used on the "cluster manager" or LVS Routers for its HA while the rest of the nodes should be utilizing LVS in order to achieve N+1 Failover & Load-balancing.
