Subject: [plug] USB to (multi) SERIAL ADAPTER
Importance: High

hi guys,

my friend is looking for a multi-serial port pci card and came across to my mind that there is a USB to (multi) SERIAL adapter which is cost less than the former for his linux or freebsd dial-up server... anyone tried this? could you tell me your good and bad experience about this adapter? im just wondering how the adapter performs when multiple modems (let say 8 or 16 modems) connected to it in full throughput despite the fact that USB bandwidth is around 12 mbps.

could someone give me info where to buy this adapter and also Comtrol Rocketport 8-port multi-serial pci card and how much? thanks.

fooler.
