hi all, i just installed mandrake 10 community edition. has anyone gotten vmware 4.x running on this? i can't get vmware-install to build the module since it dies with compile errors. i guess the kernel has changed too much.
../linux/driver.c:25:27: linux/wrapper.h: No such file or directory ../linux/driver.c:246: error: structure has no member named `prev' ../linux/driver.c:247: error: structure has no member named `next' those are the lines that kill the compile. there are a bunch of warnings too. netraverse doesn't seem to have a kernel for mandrake 10 yet either, but i'll probably build a generic 2.6 kernel. in fact, has anyone gotten vmware to work with any 2.6 kernel? if yes, then maybe a generic+win4lin kernel will allow vmware to build its module too? tiger -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
