when I was using 2.6.3, I was able to mount and view /dev/sda1 for the my usb thumbisk. but when I tried 2.6.5, a 'dmesg' won't display which device file it can be mounted. the message looks something like:
1 scsi1: USB Mass Storage xxxxxxxx 2 xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 3 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 4 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 5 sda1: xxxxxxxxxxx on 2.6.5, line 5 is missing, i tried placing usb-storage both as a module and built into the kernel but i still get the same message. i also tried *hcd usb as built-in or as loadable modules . can anyone please send my your .config file? doing a "for i in /dev/s*; do mount $i /mnt/usbhd; done" doesn't work also. ===== *** Allan M.
