Now it'll be even harder to browse using simple text-based browsers like lynx or w3m. <sigh> Then again, more and more websites rely on Javascript and images. I don't mind if it's text-spoofed, like sachaATfreeDOTnetDOTph. Although I've accidentally sent mail to the wrong addresses before, it's easy enough to interpret. When people rely on fancy Javascript or image tricks, though, accessibility suffers. Are webscrapers really that much of a problem these days? I'd think that all the careful protection won't help you if one of your Windows-using friends gets hit by a worm or virus that pulls data from address books. Whatever works for you, I guess. At least you know email spoofing with browser tricks isn't a completely wonderful idea... =) Not that I have any idea what a good solution to the spam problem might be. It's a social problem, but not something that looks like it'll get solved any time soon. Sucker born every minute and all that. <sigh> -- Sacha Chua <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - open source geekette interests: emacs, gnu/linux, making computer science education fun wearable computing, personal information management http://sacha.free.net.ph/ - PGP Key ID: 0xE7FDF77C -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
