Now it'll be even harder to browse using simple text-based browsers
like lynx or w3m. <sigh> Then again, more and more websites rely on
Javascript and images. I don't mind if it's text-spoofed, like
sachaATfreeDOTnetDOTph. Although I've accidentally sent mail to the
wrong addresses before, it's easy enough to interpret. When people
rely on fancy Javascript or image tricks, though, accessibility
suffers.

Are webscrapers really that much of a problem these days? I'd think
that all the careful protection won't help you if one of your
Windows-using friends gets hit by a worm or virus that pulls data from
address books.

Whatever works for you, I guess. At least you know email spoofing with
browser tricks isn't a completely wonderful idea... =)

Not that I have any idea what a good solution to the spam problem
might be. It's a social problem, but not something that looks like
it'll get solved any time soon. Sucker born every minute and all that.
