Back during the Linux 95 days, an ordinary PC user will have so much difficulty using it compared to Windows 95 (and even Win 3.1).
The premise is how will ordinary users appreciate Linux with it's distinct design from Windows. I for one thing is advocating the use of Linux to fellow developers who I believe are Windows power users. Still, it's hard to convince them to use it even though all of our applications are deployed on Linux. My sister was fortunate to have used Linux at UP Diliman. It gave them a good perspective how Linux can be used as an ordinary workstaion OS. If Linux will be used for learning computers stuff in schools, then I think it's possible that younger generation will appreciate it more than Windows.
